Overview

The Senior Acquisitions & Development Analyst role will be responsible for evaluating, underwriting and supporting with new management, acquisition and development opportunities across the Highgate, Viceroy and InnVentures platforms. The ideal candidate is analytical, detailoriented, and highly motivated, with a strong passion for hotel real estate and hospitality. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams-including asset management, revenue management, operations, and finance-as well as interaction with ownership groups, developers, and external partners. This individual will be a confident, teamoriented, and highly motivated professional who serves as a credible, responsive, and effective member of the corporate team. The primary objective of the role is to support the company's strategic growth initiatives by efficiently evaluating and processing new deal opportunities while effectively leveraging internal and external resources.



Responsibilities

    Prepare and maintain detailed financial models and projections for hotel management, acquisition, and revenue management opportunities, including sensitivity analyses and return scenarios
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop comprehensive underwritings and business plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders, incorporating market segmentation, operating assumptions, and staffing models
  • Conduct market research and competitive analyses, including review of STR reports, historical performance, future supply pipelines, and demand generators
  • Support the evaluation and negotiation of hotel management agreements and development opportunities in coordination with senior leadership
  • Assist with due diligence efforts by reviewing thirdparty reports, market studies, and operating and financial assumptions
  • Prepare investment memoranda, RFP responses, and pitch materials for internal review and external presentations
  • Communicate analyses and recommendations to senior management, ownership groups, and development partners
  • Track and manage deal pipeline activity from initial evaluation through onboarding
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new hotel management, asset management, and revenue management opportunities


Qualifications

  • 2-6+ years of relevant experience in the hotel real estate, acquisitions, development, or investment related roles.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Hospitality or related field preferred)
  • Highly motivated, disciplined and resourceful individual who is detail oriented
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, problem solving, decision making, and organization skills
  • Competency in hotel business plan underwriting and diligence
  • Familiarity with The Uniform Systems of Accounts for the lodging industry (USALI) and financial analysis
  • Strong understanding of Smith Travel Research reports, CoStar and hospitality market analysis
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
