Medical Assistant / Patient Service Representative - Rheumatology - Days

Position Highlights:

SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE:This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus (grossed up). The first $500 will be paid at your6 monthmark of employment and the remaining $500 will be paid at the end of one year. This bonusdoes notapply to internal employees transferring within departments.

• Position: MEDICAL ASSISTANT/PATIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

• Location: Plainfield, IL

• Full Time: 40 hours / week

• Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

• Required Travel: Rarely to cover call-offs at Naperville Office

What you will need:

• High school diploma or GED

• Preferred: Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA , RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience. Can also consider CNA.

• Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.

• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.

• Flexible to scheduling changes.

• Prior work experience in Podiatry preferred.

• Bilingual is a plus.

General Summary:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and x-rays, records results as well as routine diagnostic tests. Under general supervision of a physician, will assist with some in office procedures. Rotates to work the front desk and performclerical duties related to clinic operations.
