Call every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday 9a.m.-12p.m.

Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the scheduling, performance, and quality of Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT procedures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Performs examinations according to established protocols set forth by the medical director.
  2. Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with hospital policies/procedures as well as state and federal regulations.
  3. Performs quality control and maintenance on all department equipment.
  4. Records and maintains disposal log of radioactive materials.
  5. Provides education and training to other technologists, physicians, residents, students, hospital ancillary personnel, and other personnel as needed.
  6. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
  7. Other duties as required.

Other information:

Technical Expertise

  1. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
  2. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is preferred. Epic software or similar EMR software is preferred.

Education and Experience

  1. Education: Graduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine is required.
  2. Certification: Must hold active certification as a Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine, either with ARRT(N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  3. Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licensure is required.
  4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  5. Years of relevant experience: 2 years in Nuclear Medicine and 1 year in PET-CT preferred.
  6. Years of experience supervising: None.
