The Salvation Army Springfield Campbell Store located in Springfield, Missouri, is looking for a Thrift Store Assistant Manager. This Individual will assist the store manager with thrift store operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff. This position is expected to perform all functions of a thrift store worker. This includes but is not limited to working with customers; lifting and carrying donated/purchased items; clothes sorting/bailing operations; stocking, pricing, and placing items for sale; making change for purchased items; etc. This is a full-time position 40 hours per week, with the starting pay of $15.00 per hour. 1737 S Campbell Ave, Springfield, MO 65807 Essential Functions (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these duties.)

Minimum Qualifications Must be a team player, a self-started, and perform well with minimum supervision. Position requires basic communications with customers and other employees. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Appropriate valid driver's license and pass TSA MVR check is required. High school graduate or equivalent, experience in retail sales preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees. Ability to apply some common sense in carrying out instructions furnished in written, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divided in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Physical and Working Conditions The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and hear and talk. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch, The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
