Senior Financial Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Holding responsibility for certain areas of monthly close process including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts.
• Coordinating with FP&A on the analysis of SG&A costs including development of trends and comparison to budgeted/forecasted expenditures.
• Maintaining currency exchange rates in ERP system.
• Tracking and supporting prepaid expenses including P&L review, monthly amortization, coordination with FP&A, and reconciliations.
• Coordination of royalty programs including monthly prepaid amortization, quarterly accruals, and quarterly/semi-annual reporting.
• Perform monthly closing and reconciliation of AP and AR for US entities in JDE.
• Calculate monthly accruals including accrued AP, utilities, credit cards, etc.
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date RMS consolidated balance sheet flux review for senior management and auditors as needed.
• Assisting in the process of intercompany charges (insurance, interest, etc.) and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
• Assisting with auditor requests and supporting documentation for quarterly review and annual audit.
• Driving process improvement via the review, maintenance and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Completing and/or assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 4-10 years of relevant experience. - Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Expertise in Excel, Proficiency in all other MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

• CPA, or ability to obtain.
• Experience in an integrated accounting system - JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.
