Summary/Objective:

Lead the new product development team in flawless launch activities for new product development. Understand the people, process, and product to identify that will help win or retain business. Identifying additional process and product changes from a cost standpoint. Layout Lippert's and competitor's product, good/needs improvement and make Hybrid recommendations, as well as walk senior management through the findings. Develop a 1 year to 5-year product strategy. Build relationships with Sales and Product Management. Perform the quoting and sourcing function for purchased content to support new product development and VAVE activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prioritize new product list
    1. Pull out new product ideas at least quarterly from Product Manager, VP of Sales and VP of OPS, CEO and GM
    2. Keeps team members focused on priorities when they change
  2. Critical Path Management
    1. Establishes timelines, dates, and tasks required to meet the timing
    2. Assigns clear tasks to specific team members and follows up until complete, pulling out roadblocks
    3. Manage projects in ENOVIA for cross functional visibility
    4. Conducts cross functional meetings, efficient and effective meetings
  3. Go to / Recognized as the person to move projects to completion
    1. Sales, ENG, Purchasing, OPS, go to on anything related to project completion. (Concept to Cash)
    2. Maintain detailed EBOMs with updated costs for quoting
    3. Interact with Sales for forecasts and cost targets
  4. New Product Testing and Signoff
    1. Ensures new products are ready to go
    2. Signoffs required: Product Manager, R&D/ENG, OPS, QA, Product Specialist
  5. PN or Variants Creation, clean cost, price & ROI
    1. Navigate D365 and CPQ systems
  6. Prototype Management
    1. Makes sure each prototype is signed off prior to shipment of all new products
    2. Lines up support team at customer to support prototype of all new products
    3. Rolls up issues and drives the changes to address
  7. New Product Development and VAVE Sourcing
    1. Prepare RFQ packages for new components
    2. Conduct Make vs Buy analysis
    3. Issue POs for prototype and startup purchased content
    4. Negotiate tooling costs and amortization
    5. Communicate corrections and changes to suppliers
    6. Manage supplier timelines for project success
    7. Handoff Purchasing Package to production Pas
    8. Find replacement parts in material emergencies

Working Conditions:

  1. Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  2. May sit for several hours at a time.
  3. Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  4. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to count and record findings. While performing the duties of this job, the team member will regularly talk and listen. This position may require typing and sitting in a chair for up to 8 hours a day.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.

Travel:

Travel will be moderate and would be primarily local during the business day.

  1. Enovia or similar Product Life Cycle Management Software
  2. Sourcing New Vendors
  3. BOM Validation
  4. Configurator Support
  5. Supplier Tooling, Production Tooling
  6. Bachelor's Degree
