This is a full-time position with primary duties done in person with limited telehealth options in certain situations. Job Summary: As a Mental Health Clinical Trainee or Professional, you will provide individual therapy to youth in the residential treatment program at West Central Regional Juvenile Center in Moorhead MN. The target population has a broad range of mental health symptoms and associated functional impairments, related to the criminal behaviors and trauma they have experienced. You will complete a diagnostic assessment of the client(s) and a variety of psychometric screens to develop and implement an appropriate treatment plan. You will maintain compliance with mental health clinical statutes including monthly clinical supervision, staff meetings, medical consultation, and clinical care consultation with the larger service team of each client. Skills at being adaptive and autonomous are required as the schedule is 85% flexible. All client hours, documentation, and training is completed with minimal oversight once initial training, roughly 3 months, is accomplished. A team-based mindset is optimal as the trauma and mental health work is done daily in WCRJC in collaboration with our on-site skills worker, other mental health professionals, the supervisor, and corrections staff.
