Service Center Interior Lead - Brunswick - Special Missionsin GAC Brunswick Unique Skills: Heavy structural modification experience is required. Special missions experience preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. 5 years Aircraft Interior experience required or equivalent for the applicable position; i.e. Sheetmetal, Cabinetry, Finish, or Upholstery. FAA A&P license or be able to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days of start date. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred. Repairman certificate preferred.
Position Purpose:
Under general direction, assist with directing and coordinating all activities and personnel involved with interior modification of aircraft to ensure timely and cost effective fulfillment of delivery schedules and optimum quality and standards.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Develop work schedules, estimates and status reports; aids in establishing priorities and assigns works to subordinates to meet or exceed scheduled commitments.
- Coordinate work assignments with other departments and works closely with engineering and contract administrators to ensure proper fabrication and completion of assigned tasks.
- Ensure all workmanship is of highest quality; provide recommendations for continuous quality and process improvement and reduction of cycle time.
- Report to management on status of all assignments; prepare and maintain department records and reports.
- Instruct, coach and assist subordinates in the interpretation of work procedures, blueprints, and engineering specifications; providing training in work methods and procedures and development of employees interpersonal skills to enhance flow of departmental tasks.
- Follow up and expedite corrective action in shop controlled operations such as workmanship, absenteeism and similar factors that interfere with schedules and create discrepancies or rework.
- Implement and monitor a continuous safety program with respect to operation of equipment, work practices and work areas. Continuously enforce FOD regulations. Instruct personnel on good housekeeping practices and supervise maintenance of a clean work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
