What You'll Do

The Senior Director, Deposition Products Group (DPG) Finance Controller reports to the Managing Director, Global Products Group (GPG) Finance Controller and oversees the Finance team supporting Deposition and Clean Product groups. The DPG Controller is also the Finance business partner to the Group Vice President of DPG and Vice President of DPG Operations. The position is directly responsible for supporting DPG operations including working with the Deposition Films Business Unit (DFBU), Wets Business Unit and Direct Metals (DM) Business Unit Controllers. This role will provide decision support and analytics for DPG, identify and manage risks and opportunities in meeting performance commitments. He/she will work very closely and effectively with various corporate groups, such as Corporate Accounting, Sales Operations and Revenue Recognition teams to support various business, accounting, reporting and compliance initiatives. Additionally, this role will take an active part in Corporate FP&A initiatives including financial systems enhancement projects. He/she will be a catalyst to improve forecasting and reporting processes with a drive towards streamlining and process simplification. This position will require a broad range of finance experience including business analysis, creation and tracking of performance metrics, cross functional team leadership and compliance/internal controls. He/she will require strong business acumen, coupled with excellent leadership skills to navigate in a matrixed environment suited to a high performance culture, strong teamwork and partnership with multiple stakeholders across Lam. The DPG controller manages teams located in Fremont/San Jose, CA; Tualatin, OR; and Villach, Austria. The role will also have matrix responsibility for the extended finance team in Bangalore, India. Primary responsibilities will include: Supporting and partnering with the PG Operations teams to generate the quarterly financial forecasts and ensuring that they accurately reflect up-to-date business conditions. Supporting and providing visibility on DPG financial performance while leveraging key metrics and dashboards to review trends and issues. Ensuring proper accounting for financials (Capex, Opex,), managing critical activities such as quarterly financial close and BSR (Balance Sheet Review.) Leading the development, mentoring of the DPG finance teams including creating a high performance culture and championing individual development and growth.

Who We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 18+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 15+ years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 11+ years experience; or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, or a related role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry or a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
