Plant Administrator/Office Manager

Job Summary
Avient is seeking a Plant Administrator for 1st shift for its Holden, Massachusetts location.
Essential Functions


  • Performs a variety of office administrative functions, such as preparing reports/documentation, processing mail, and filing.
  • Coordinates the OMNI samples for outbound shipments
  • Updating & maintaining production records, including filing, and handling of training records and plant records
  • Responsible for outbound FedEx / courier shipments (lab samples, documents, etc.)
  • Responsible for monitoring inventory of office supplies and replenish supplies when required.
  • May assist Plant Management with safety tracking.
  • Creates and updates Purchase Orders
  • Provides general administrative support to plant. May provide lead direction to other staff in the performance of plant administrative responsibilities.
  • Greeting and control of contractors and visitors to the site.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Education and Experience


  • Manufacturing Plant Worksite (in person) - Office and Color Laboratory.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and tight timelines and deadlines
  • Must have strong attention to detail and math skills.
  • ERP systems experience (SAP experience preferred)
  • Must have very good interpersonal skills, comfortable to interact with a variety of people and departments, both in-person and via email/messaging systems.


Physical Demands


  • Requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time, talking and listening.
  • Must be able to walk and use hands. Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion/tasks (i.e. computer data entry).
  • Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
  • Occasionally work is in a manufacturing environment where the noise level is loud.
