Environmental Analyst

As an Environmental Analyst, you'll bring an in-depth understanding and expertise of both DoD weapon systems acquisition and Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) policies to support the mission of senior-level DoD personnel. You will be responsible for providing regulatory compliance impact reviews, evaluation and conduct of ESOH risk assessments and impacts of ESOH risks to the DoD mission, assessment and execution of hazardous materials management activities for weapon system design and fielding, and review or conduct of ESOH analyses and documentation development. You will have the ability to organize, schedule, and facilitate technical meetings, community of practices, and working groups. You will have experience working with diverse groups to facilitate collective problem solving, analysis, and implementation of new solutions and best practices. You'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we'll look to you in identifying, analyzing, and evaluating complex systems, programs, policies, and processes.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience with environmental work, including planning, compliance, environmental and safety sciences, environmental engineering, or policy

  • 5+ years of experience with supporting DoD projects or programs in areas of environment risk management and compliance, including SECNAVINST 5000.2G, SECNAVINST 5090.8A, SECNAVINST 5090.6B, OPNAVINST 5090.1E/OPNAV M-5090.1E, or MIL-STD-882E

  • Experience with U.S. Navy Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health policies, manuals, processes, and guidance

  • Experience with managing staff in the execution of project tasks

  • Experience with conducting independent research, analysis, and evaluation of technical data

  • Ability to decipher ambiguous client needs and be detailed-oriented

  • Ability to work in an evolving, dynamic, and fast-paced environment with flexibility to adapt to changes

  • Ability to develop cohesive and clear technical reports, presentations, training, guidance, policy analysis, and memorandums

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with acquisition program management, acquisition logistics, or acquisition systems engineering

  • Experience in working with diverse groups to facilitate collective problem solving, analysis, and implementation of new solutions and best practices

  • Experience with ESOH requirements of the DoD Adaptive Acquisition Pathway policies

  • Experience with Environmental Management Systems and the creation and management of spreadsheets

  • Experience with Military Services or Components, including Naval Air Systems Command

  • Knowledge of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) enterprise and organizational structure

  • Knowledge of ESOH regulations

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to evaluate and execute ESOH risk assessments and ESOH documentation for acquisition weapons systems pursuant to DoD acquisition policies

  • Possession of excellent organizational skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
