The Jr. Facility Engineer position is to be located and officed in one of the facilities within the respective region. This is a regular full-time position that is FLSA designated as exempt. This position is responsible for supporting 100% uptime for the Data Centers and their customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews methods and standards of procedures for all equipment maintenance
  • Works closely with the chief engineer to ensure correct and on time implementation of solutions for customer applications, including preparation of space, power, and cooling
  • Responsible for all technical aspects of facility operations including power and HVAC systems
  • Assists in providing and keeping up with monthly reporting
  • Assists in providing technical support to ensure successful customer integration and implementation of company solutions
  • Assists with all facility issues encountered during day-to-day operations to ensure 100% uptime for facility operations
  • Works directly with the site operations management teams

Qualifications:

  • Requires 1-3 years of Facility Operations experience in the data center, telecom, or service provider industry
  • Requires ability to manage facilities related to maintenance management and ticketing software platforms
  • Available to work in a high stress 100% available capacity with the ability to manage vendors 24x7x365
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Basic working knowledge of general industry mission critical equipment such as UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), Generators, Mechanical and fire systems
  • Basic working knowledge of building automation systems, energy management systems and overall controls in mechanical and electrical environments
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
