Position Overview

The Calibr Bioanalytical team is seeking a highly motivated individual to support pharmacology in our drug discovery efforts. Under this role, the ideal candidate will work to develop LC-MS assays for novel compounds to support key ADME and pharmacokinetic assays and assist in developing new ADME assays to increase internal bioanalytical capabilities. The individual would work in support of multiple drug discovery programs that encompass multiple modalities such as small molecule, peptide, protein, and antibody therapeutics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Sample preparation from biological matrices, tissue homogenization, and method development
  • Develop methods for of quantitation of NMEs using LC-MS in support of drug discovery programs
  • Perform routine LC-MS instrument maintenance, as well as develop and trouble-shoot LC-MS methods
  • Data analysis and lab notebook documentation
  • Maintain databases and perform routine lab maintenance functions
  • Author bioanalytical reports and present findings to research teams
  • Perform QC analysis of external CRO PK and ADME reports
  • The position requires great attention to detail, troubleshooting capability and flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Experience



  • Bachelor or Master of Science in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience required; 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience with LC-MS and method development
  • Experience with database interface and data analysis software (ie. Excel & Prism)
  • Experience with WinNonlin and/or GastroPlus desired
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • References required

COMPENSATION

The expected hiring range for this multi-level position is $66,560 - $79,500, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
