Tool Room

Westinghouse is looking for a Tool Room technician to work at the Catawba Nuclear Power Plant located in York, SC. This is a Core position and candidates must be local.

Tool Room

Responsible for an expansive inventory of tools and production equipment in an organization. The attendant must keep track of the location of each tool in the organization and make sure that there are sufficient resources available for the production floor.

Education / Training Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months industrial experience
• Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access
• Pass initial and annual Radiation Worker Training

Minimum Skill Requirements and Accountabilities

• Must be familiar with tools of the trade.
• Must be exceptionally reliable, responsible, and dependable.
• Responsible for maintaining and issuing welding materials in accordance with the quality control system.
• Attendant issue tools to production department by requisition or work order router. The tools are recorded manually or by computer.
• Performs and inventory of the tools and prepares an inventory report.
• Maintains an organized tool room.
