Responsibilities

The Supervisor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), performs biopsychosocial evaluations, as well as plans and provides treatment and case management for clients with SUDs and CODs.

Essential Duties:
*Conduct biopsychosocial evaluation, including participating in the development of diagnostic impressions for SUDs or Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT).
*Create treatment plans for SUDs and CODs, including initial, ongoing, continuity of care, discharge, and planning for relapse prevention.
*Make referrals.
*Service coordination and case management for SUDs and CODs.
*Provide counseling, therapy, and trauma informed care, with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
*Provide education for clients, family, and community.
*Timely completion of documentation (may include assessments, treatment plans, progress and group notes, discharge summary) according to established standards.
*Comply with professional and ethical responsibilities.
*Comply with supervisory responsibilities for a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Supervisor, or a trainee seeking certification, provided that the Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor has been approved as a Supervisor


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a health and human services counseling field required.
* Currently Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with Alcohol and Drug credential from the State of MN.
