The campus offers a variety of medical services, including a day surgery center, cancer treatment center, long-term care facility, behavioral health center, specialty care clinics, a community wellness and outreach program, a women and children's center, interventional heart program and physician practices. For more than 15 years this hospital has been serving the Monroe area, and we have worked to add new services and more specialized physicians and programs to meet the growing health care needs of our community.

Job Summary

Operates x-ray/fluoroscopy equipment to produce an image of designated portions of the body under the direction of the radiologist and imaging leadership team.

Essential Functions

  • Performs radiographic examinations in a skillful, efficient, and safe manner in accordance with departmental standard operating procedures.
  • Prepares, handles, and administers contrast media.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of all radiographic equipment.
  • Assists radiologists/physicians during radiographic procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of work area and ensures that rooms are adequately stocked with supplies.

Physical Requirements

Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients up to 75 lbs., equipment, and supplies. Motor coordination needed to operate heavy and delicate equipment. Requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, stretching, bending, twisting, squatting, and kneeling. Vision and hearing for distances up to 10 feet.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Completion of a formal AMA approved Radiologic Technology program required. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or if a new graduate, registry eligible required. New graduates must pass their registry within one year of employment date. BCLS Certification required.
