TITLE

Director, Graduate Admissions Recruitment

JOB SUMMARY

The Department of Graduate Admissions Recruitment falls under the division of Enrollment Management. Graduate enrollment is a vital contributor to the success at Texas Woman's University through recruitment endeavors, admission policy development, and a commitment to meeting enrollment goals by providing personalized assistance to students throughout the college application and admissions process. Working closely with the Vice President for Enrollment Management and with the Dean of the Graduate School the Director of Graduate Admissions Recruitment is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment strategy to recruit and enroll qualified graduate students. This position requires substantial interaction with the Graduate School and Enrollment Management in order to create a collaborative work environment between the Enrollment Management Division, the Graduate School, Academic Deans and University faculty and staff members. The Director of Graduate Admissions Recruitment is under the supervision of the Vice President of Enrollment Management and aligns with the goals of the Graduate School recruitment goals. The role is assessed based on the effective operation and enrollment goals of the Department of Graduate Admissions Recruitment. Work is performed under minimal supervision and the performance evaluation is conducted through the TWU performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Vice President, Enrollment Management

Supervises: Graduate recruitment throughout the TWU System, Graduate Recruitment
Associate and Assistant Directors, Graduate Recruitment Counselors, and support
staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following:



  • Provides exemplary leadership and supervision to graduate recruitment office personnel.
  • Provides support of implementing graduate student recruitment strategies as developed by the Dean of the Graduate School and/or the Strategic Enrollment Management Council.
  • Provide creative influence for CRM improvements and advancements.
  • Analyze and report on the graduate admission application funnel from prospective to enrollment.
  • Analyze and report on statistical and comparative data concerning recruitment efforts to enable strategic recruitment and the effective advancement to university goals.
  • Provide continuous evaluation and implement improvements to ensure plan effectiveness and success.
  • Direct supervision of graduate recruiters across the TWU System.
  • Collaborate with University and Enrollment Management Marketing and Communications to improve and enhance recruitment marketing and communications and to develop new marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with university partners, external constituents, and Enrollment Management leadership team to align processes and efficiently and effectively reach the division's and university's goals.
  • Oversees and monitors the Graduate Recruitment budget[1] [2] .
  • Responds to inquiries concerning admissions requirements, both general University requirements and individual academic departmental requirements.
  • Coordinate conversion activities to positively impact graduate enrollment.
  • Coordinate strategies and campaigns to cultivate prospective applicants.
  • Represent the University at graduate recruitment activities and/or events on or off campus.
  • Represent the Admissions Recruitment Office at designated graduate leadership meetings.
  • Assists in reviewing and editing graduate recruitment materials.
  • Helps coordinate articulation agreements between TWU and other colleges and universities.
  • Responds to inquiries concerning admissions requirements, both general University requirements and individual academic departmental requirements.
  • Trains, supervises, motivates, and evaluates staff.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES



  • Acts as a liaison between Graduate Admissions Recruitment and the Graduate School.
  • Performs other duties as requested.


EDUCATION

Master's degree required.

EXPERIENCE

Six years of progressively responsible leadership experience in Higher Education admissions with a proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding enrollment goals. Experience in supervising staff, preferably in higher education.

REQUIREMENT

Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position. Occasional overtime and weekends.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - The following are essential:



  • Knowledge of strategic planning principles.
  • In depth knowledge of admissions processing.
  • Ability to develop effective reports for decision making.
  • Knowledge of Colleague or other student information systems and Salesforce or TargetX or ability to quickly assimilate.

Employees are responsible for completing assigned tasks safely and efficiently, and supervisors are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment. Supervisors and employees should ensure that injury/accident reports are submitted to the Office of Human Resources and Risk Management within 24 hours of the incident.
