Summer 2025 Production Intern

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

• Learn plant processes and become familiar with all product value streams at Portales.

• Drive improvement projects identified by the production manager, targeting plant top 3 losses/initiatives for 2025.

• Review and identify opportunities for standard work across shifts within the department.

• Identify, organize, and drive 1 focused-improvement opportunity that improves either safety, quality, or efficiency.

• Spend some time in other plant departments to gain a holistic understanding of how a plant operates.
  
  
• 5S in the production areas.

The qualified candidate will be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a degree focus in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Ag/Dairy Science or related field.
