Hourly Rate: $58k-$72k What You Will Do: The Quality Assurance Engineer is critical in the enhanced use of analytical tools to improve the quality and reliability of our products while reducing costs. This position is an essential element to support the Operation Team in standard day to day manufacturing, design validation, process validation and new product development. Additionally, this position is intended to drive problem solving initiatives of our internal material supplier and the direct material suppliers to improve quality performance. He or she is also responsible for laboratory maintenance, auditing, preparing solutions and media, and for ordering supplies. What You Will Need:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 1-2 years directly related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Six Sigma Green Belt certification strongly preferred, or ability to obtain within the first year of employment.
