Overview: This position is accountable for effectively leading the operations of the Mercy Community. As such, it is necessary to be heavily involved in strategic planning, the development of new or expanded services, and the continuous protection of human, physical and financial assets. The Community is part of a larger health system; thus, the incumbent is called on to participate in system and community activities in meaningful ways. Serves as a member of the System leadership team and reports to a System-wide leader. Promotes the integration of services on a system-wide basis. Assists in developing a common culture of pride and clinical excellence across the entire system. To effectively operate an organization of this size, it is necessary to select, develop, and guide the activities of all individuals who report directly or indirectly to this position.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Five to seven successful years of experience at the executive level in a health-related field. Qualified both by education and successful leadership experience, possess the necessary conceptual and intellectual capabilities to forecast, envision, and translate to a course of action, demonstrate finesse in communication, and ability to coordinate and integrate the complexities of patient care and facility operation.
  • Required Education: A Master's degree in Health Administration or related field is required.
