Job Description
The Department of Ophthalmology seeks outstanding candidates for a full-time Research Assistant position at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with cell biology and biochemistry experiments as part of a newly funded research project. This involves preparing biological and other specimens for cell biological and biochemical testing and to acquire and analyze related data. This position will assist in maintaining the cell biology and biochemistry equipment, order routine supplies, prepare technical reports and archive data. This is a 12-month full-time unranked research appointment to begin as soon as possible. Our academic workloads and schedules promote a positive work/life balance. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for the Research Assistant position, Applicants must have: * a Bachelor's of Science or equivalent degree * 2 years of experience in cell biology and biochemistry techniques Experience in mass spectrometry, ocular cell biology or neuroscience is highly valued. Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary range starts at $20 per hour and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Application Materials
