Description

LaForce is looking for a Commercial Door Hardware Sales Associate to generate and process sales for customers who walk into our salesroom or are on a customer list. This person will be responsible for analyzing and solving customer problems, quoting and entering orders for small projects with customers, and occasionally following up with an order to provide products, services, and further develop relationships. No nights or weekends! Schedule is Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00

Major Responsibilities of the Sales Associate:



  • Provide high level of customer service for all counter calls and walk-in traffic.
  • Provide technical support to customers in the areas of exit devices, closers, hardware, keying, lock repair, security integration and specialty products.
  • Effectively troubleshoot door and hardware related issues.
  • Provide simple locksmith duties for customers with basic keying requirements as necessary.
  • Enter sales quotes/orders into LaForce computer systems and communicate with appropriate departments for successful order completion.
  • Utilize manufacturer and LaForce price book to provide product quotes as requested by customer.
  • Process credit card orders and open/close cash drawer daily.
  • Maintain showroom area with latest product samples, in addition to the organization of the showroom.



Qualifications for the Sales Associate:



  • High School Diploma or GED and one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Commercial or residential door hardware knowledge is a must.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Physical demands include standing for long periods of time and the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
