Purpose of the Job

The Director, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Transformation is accountable for leading best-in-class systems and process design, implementation and governance across the enterprise for the integrated supply chain activity. This leader will embrace simple and standard solutions as an enabler of delivering scale and efficiency to the entirety of the enterprise. They will own everything involved in production planning activity as well as manufacturing finance. They will collaborate with external resources as well as key internal stakeholders (business, GIS, corporate) to advance efficient production planning, execution, and reporting to best in class levels as measured by as measured by cost to value relationship. The scope of the role will bridge from early design alignment on the process to successful implementation while ensuring proper governance structure exists to maintain our commitment to simple, standard, and automated. This leader will collaborate with transformation peers in supply chain, sourcing, finance and operations leadership to ensure coordinated efforts and will further partner with business peers to ensure alignment and effectiveness of proposed solutions.

Span of Control: Small team of direct and indirect reports


Job Responsibilities

Business and Functional Partnership



  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across businesses and corporate functions to define a transformational agenda which enables efficient production planning, execution, and reporting.


  • Develop a deep understanding of industries and markets, as well as key drivers and influences impacting business results.
  • Understand the differentiators of the businesses as well as operational threats. Align Manufacturing and Supply Chain Transformation initiatives to accelerate business results.



Process Transformation



  • Lead best-in-class systems and process design, implementation, and governance across the enterprise for the integrated supply chain activity.
  • Advocate and implement simple and standard ERP solutions as an enabler of delivering scale and efficiency to the entirety of the enterprise.
  • Build the business case for enterprise system and technology investments in business process, technology, and project management.
  • Own the process transformation of enterprise production planning activity as well as manufacturing finance.
  • Develop standard metrics, KPIs and scorecarding to measure our progress at the enterprise level with a focus on simple, standard, automated.
  • Act as an accountability partner to the businesses and functions to ensure true process transformation and efficiencies are realized.
  • Develop training programs and capabilities to ensure understanding and necessary adoption of employees.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, strategic evaluation and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Develop and communicate the vision for area of accountability ensuring the impact is clear to key stakeholders.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment across departments to streamline processes, improve decision-making, and accelerate execution of transformational initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders across the enterprise to ensure synergy among transformation initiatives.
  • Lead communication of strategic plans and progress to stakeholders, both internal and extenral.
  • Empower individuals to successfully deliver a portfolio of high-impact enterprise initiatives.



Job Requirements

Required Experience:



  • Undergraduate degree in business or related field of study required; Masters-level degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of cross functional experience in combination of the following: manufacturing finance, sourcing, supply chain, operations
  • Progressive leadership experience across a global matrixed environment.

  • Proven track record of identifying and overcoming challenges.
  • Ability to leverage technology and systems to enable scale and efficiency.
