Tasks of Position

The following are core and essential responsibilities of this position. Associates are responsible for completing any and all duties assigned as required for the successful operation of our business. All associates are required to perform their job duties in a manner which upholds the integrity and honesty of our company.

  • Reporting for assigned shifts on time, and on a regular basis, prepared to provide excellent service and leadership
  • Identifying and supporting the development of associates who show promise or interest in increased responsibility.
  • Tasks for this position are as assigned by the Facilities Manager. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible routine building maintenance and repair, including but not limited to: Conveying system, pumps and motors, minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical machines; Inspecting and repairing electrical panels; Implement necessary inspections or repairs as part of the preventative maintenance and equipment manufacturer recommendations; Identify conditions needing major repair and recommend corrective action to the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience

AA degree and/or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Construction and/or facilities maintenance experience

preferred.

  • Language Skills

Reads, analyzes, and interprets common trade and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Responds to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or other

members of the business community. Writes business correspondence that conforms to prescribed style and format. Presents information effectively to staff associates, top management, vendors,

and/or board of directors. Communicates effectively and pleasantly with guests, vendors and other associates at all times.

  • Mathematical Skills

Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio, percent, and draws and interprets bar graphs. Performs mathematical skills using units of American money and weight measurement, volume.

  • Reasoning Ability

Solves problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions. Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Other Qualifications

This position requires proficiency using hand and power tools; familiarity with carpentry, plumbing and electrical diagnostic experience; work independently with minimal supervision; must be able to climb ladder; and knowledge of OSHA/WISHA regulations. Must be flexible, and able to manage and determine priority of work on a self-directed basis.

Physical Demands & Safety Expectations

Most positions within Yoke's require physical effort to varying degrees. As such, associates are expected to be mindful of practicing Yoke's safety standards at all times. This may include using personal protective equipment when and where required, understanding ergonomic safety, chemical hazards, safe lifting techniques, lockout/tag out procedures, and emergency protocol. All associates are required to report accidents within 24 hours.
