About the Job

Duties/Responsibilities: This faculty recruit will join the Nephrology Division's basic science program focusing on pharmacogenomics research. This position combines lab and clinical based work and partners with the College of Pharmacy. The position will focus on identifying mechanisms of both native and allograft kidney loss to develop new drug targets for therapeutic intervention and diagnostic biomarkers. creating an interdisciplinary, extramurally funded research program to identify mechanisms of viral persistence in tissue reservoirs of HIV infection. The collaboration between the Medical School's Department of Medicine's Nephrology Division and the College of Pharmacy aims to develop new clinical cohorts for pharmacogenomics, biomarkers and drug target discovery. This position will also focus on training future scientists and pharmacy students.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: (Must be documented on all application materials)
Candidates for this position will have successfully completed doctoral and post-doctoral research training, with specific experience in laboratory-based preclinical and translational research relevant to in pharmacogenomics and possess a record of external research funding.

Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain your legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: Depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 75%-100% Appointment
