The radiopharmacist is a senior member of the professional staff working in the BWH - BICOR facility. The purpose of BICOR is to fulfill the need for radiotracers for researchers and clinicians. Under the supervision of BICOR administration and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures the radiopharmacist has several roles ranging from overseeing general lab maintenance and inventory control to the support of daily compounding and manufacturing. The radiopharmacist works in conjunction with BICOR administration to define daily responsibilities within the facility while operating in accordance with all applicable institutional, state, and federal regulations governing the dispensing or distribution of radioactive materials. 1. Must be a graduate of an AACP accredited pharmacy program and be Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy licensed or Board eligible. 2. Must have completed a program in nuclear pharmacy including course work in radiation safety, radiopharmacy techniques, health physics and instrumentation or equivalent experience. 3. Must have experience in computer data entry, ordering, and compiling data. 4. Must be thoroughly familiar with the regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Transportation, Food and Drug Administration, Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy Regulations, EPA, and OSHA.
