Description
Summary: Prospects, sells and supports strategic business sales nationally - Construction solutions sales, Structured Cable Sales, Cellular sales and/or Technology/Wireless Sales Essential Functions: Tasks that must be performed by the person in this job. - Prospects for sales opportunities via telephone, personal visits, mailings, personal letters, internet searches, attending trade shows, industrial events, meetings, and via referrals from existing customers.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Attends customer meetings via telephone and in person to discuss sales solutions.
- Makes site and facility visits to observe and determine communication needs and possible solutions.
- Prepares and presents sales proposals to customers, meeting quotas set by management.
- Works with supervisor and credit manager to quote prices, credit terms and prepares sales agreements for orders obtained.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
- Trains new customers in use of equipment if needed.
- Prepares monthly forecasts, sales plan, sales funnel and sales results and annual forecast reports.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
- Contacts customers after sale to insure satisfaction.
- Attends new product training as needed.
- Develop and implement plans and strategies for quickly developing their Sales territory.
- Articulate the value proposition of our products and services to convert prospects to customers.
- Proven success in ability to close new business.
Qualifications
Experience:
- At least 2 years of outside sales B2B experience with a strong background selling technical solutions to high level executive decision makers with a history of successful quota and/or sales objective attainment. Ideal candidate will have a background in selling nationwide. We will train the right individuals!
- Prospect for new account opportunities to meet or exceed monthly objectives by proactively selling Day Wireless products and services to qualified businesses.
- Maintain a high level of sales activity including needs assessments, application development, proposal presentation, negotiation, and post-sale services.
- Be self-motivated!
- Ability to be accessible to clients and customers when needed.
- Be a great team player, ability to work with a variety of different personalities and be able to track the process/service for each client is being met.
Preferred experience, but not a must:
- Product and service knowledge of telecommunications and technical skills related to design and services.
- Demonstrated success in telecommunications sales to end-user customers, including National and small to large sized customers using relationship management and system sales concepts
- Prior experience in new construction, structured cabling, enterprise cellular, radio communications, or major accounts.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university. At least 10 years of experience as a sales professional and at least 3 years of experience managing salespeople.
