TheRetail Regional Strategic Manageris responsible for enabling the activate to scale strategy by influencing regional stakeholders from outside and in store execution teams with the purpose of driving market results in both exterior and interior categories. The role will require the development and nurturing of strong, collaborative partnerships at Regional levels with both Retailers in addition to internally within Retail Sales business to be successful in position for both Retail customers. The RRSM will engage regularly with our internal strategic Retail Sales team on key strategies and priorities, and then work to ensure Retailer's Regional teams' alignment and oversee execution on those strategies in their respective markets while generating and converting demand. Additionally, the RRSM will have the responsibility of owning their own key Stores/Retailers across the region and providing valuable insights that will drive and convert sales through these Retail relationships.

This role is a key sales position with the opportunity to deliver step change sales growth forJames Hardie.

What You'll Do:




  • Identify and remove bottlenecks to enable fluidity in business transactions.
  • Support Retailers working with James Hardie by eliminating barriers to conversion & creating a positive customer experience.
  • Enabling outside sales team by training to scale in person and virtually
  • Manages and holds own self accountable to a priority-based schedule with prospective customers.
  • Attend customer events to meet local outside sales teams and their managed accounts
  • Able to make good choices on where and where not to allocate resources and time.
  • Develop a solid understanding of company products, customer programs and benefits, and our market development sales approach to effectively engage with prospective customers.
  • Capable of analyzing and interpreting data to drive decision making.
  • Able to host, lead and present in front of large audiences.
  • Passion for their company and personal success to meet or exceed goals.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of strategic Retail customers, MET/MST Regional Leadership, Regional Field Leadership, and products & promotions, supporting a strategic plan for positive quarterly and annual sales growth of territory.
  • Drive Regions sales growth, profitability, and share gain.
  • Drive sell-through across all James Hardie brands focusing on revenue and units.
  • Effectively manage budgets to drive profitability.
  • Communicate opportunities, issues, and trends to management and marketing

What You'll Bring:

Education & Experience




  • 3+ years of sales experience in a high touch sales environment.
  • Strong leadership and training experience.
  • Proven track record of developing, engaging, and recognizing talent and delivering results.
  • Effective performance management skills.
  • Ability to communicate and execute strategies effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to be resilient and adaptable in all situations.
  • Ability to work with and understand complex channels and distribution models.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental financial concepts.
  • Travel 50%-75% overnight travel.
  • Valid driver's license & Bachelors' Degree Required.
