The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine seeks applicants for an Administrative Assistant or Intermediate Administrative Assistant to perform clerical and administrative work in the division of Hematology and Oncology. Administrative Assistants perform work of a clerical nature, providing office support under direct supervision. Work is typically repetitive and follows consistent practice and established procedures. Administrative Assistants consult with supervisors for most decisions outside of standard operating procedures. The successful candidate will join a department that employs outstanding people and is progressive in its initiatives to develop and support its staff, making it a great place to work. Minimum Qualifications: Administrative Assistant Education: High School Diploma Experience: None Intermediate Administrative Assistant Education: High School Diploma Experience: At least one year of relevant experience. Anticipated Hiring Range: $42,000 - $45,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. The Administrative Assistant will report to Tori Lamb, Senior Medical Office Coordinator. This position will remain open until filled. This is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. This position is located in Charlottesville, VA. This position is onsite Monday through Friday and is not available for remote work. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment. A completed pre-employment health screen is required for this position prior to employment.
