We are looking for a mission driven Adolescent Health Educator to join our team!

The Adolescent Health Educator designs, develops, and delivers comprehensive education on sexual health, STIs, pregnancy prevention, healthy relationships and mental health. This position provides reliable and trustworthy sexual & mental health information to adolescents/youth. The Sexual Health Educator adheres to the sexual education curriculum guidelines and promotes the Women's Fund of Omaha Program and Get Checked Omaha.

This is a part-time position located at our administrative office off of 29th and Park Ave. The schedule will be 20 hours per week; generally, Monday-Friday, between 9am to 6pm, with frequent evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    2. Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Science or any related field preferred.
    3. Proficiency in English required; proficiency in Spanish preferred.
    4. Experience and/or training in community health, promotion or outreach preferred.
    5. Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products required.
    6. Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentational) required.
    7. Knowledge of cultural and health issues affecting the program participants preferred.
    8. The ability to travel to remote worksites: a valid driver's license and automobile insurance required.
    9. Demonstrates ability to work with culturally diverse groups.
    10. Demonstrates ability to create relationships and trust with the target population.
    11. Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends.
