Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Structural Engineer in our Portland, Oregon office. The right candidate will have experience providing structural consulting services and a background in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The Structural Engineer plays a crucial role in designing and ensuring the structural integrity of various infrastructure projects, such as pump stations, reservoirs, and water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with other engineers and designers as part of the Kennedy Jenks Technical Services Team.
  • Work with concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and composite construction to deliver structural solutions for projects of various scales.
  • Use BIM tools to deliver many of these projects and provide clients with interactive environments to offer meaningful input from the initial planning stages through design and construction.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide solutions to clients throughout the United States, including municipal agencies and industrial facilities.
  • Design and analyze structures such as treatment plant buildings, tanks, clarifiers, and other facilities within the water and wastewater treatment process.
  • Design and analyze pump stations, including buildings that house pumps, piping systems, and support structures.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering focus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a consulting engineer focused on structural design for industrial or municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working on structural engineering projects from conception to completion, including design, analysis, and construction phases.
  • Deep understanding of structural design principles, codes, and standards.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modeling.
  • Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) required in the state of Oregon.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $95,000 - $110,000, and may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.
