Requisition ID req31000 Working Title Program Manager - iD+Pi Position Grade 13 Position Summary The School of Architecture and Planning is seeking applications for a Program Manager position with the Indigenous Design and Planning Institute (iD+Pi). The iD+Pi is a level 2 research center within the School. The Program Manager will be supervised by the Dean of the School and report to the Director of the iD+Pi and will supervise staff, student employees, and graduate student Project Assistants and/or Research Assistants as needed to meet the needs of sponsored research projects and activities. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, one-year term appointment that may be renewed based on available funding and if organizational need exists. The successful candidate will demonstrate keen interest working in an active and creative environment to primarily support pre-award and post-award phases of sponsored research projects. Under indirect supervision, the Program Manager will be responsible for various duties and responsibilities related to planning and execution of operational activities of a research center including: 1) assisting the Director and Principal Investigators with research development and program management support as needed for contracts, grants, and awards; 2) facilitate program and event development and support local, national and international initiatives among partner consortiums in research and development; 3) generate and implement strategic intelligence and networking as well as collaborative resources and services; 4) enhance the profile of the iD+Pi and add to its visibility and impact with existing and future external funding by communicating the Institute's accomplishments in a broad and targeted manner; 5) lead and guide the work of staff and student employees including Research Assistants and Project Assistants; and 6) monitor iD+Pi indices for account activity and expenditures. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of communication and problem solving skills as well as ability to manage and administrate multiple projects and activities. The School is housed in George Pearl Hall, a unique facility designed by internationally renowned architect, Antoine Predock. See the Position Description for additional information. Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience 2 of which are management level experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
