Job Summary:
The highly ranked Department of Chemistry of the University of Wisconsin-Madison is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty position, beginning August 2025. We seek outstanding candidates with research interests in all areas of chemistry connected to environmental sustainability, renewable energy, and societal challenges, with preference given to applicants in the fields of hard (inorganic) materials chemistry, experimental physical chemistry, and analytical chemistry. This position is part of the RISE-EARTH initiative, whose mission is described at https://rise.wisc.edu/rise-earth/. Responsibilities: A successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a vigorous research program in their area of specialization, teach chemistry courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, participate in interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts with other departments, schools and colleges, perform professional and university service as appropriate, and work with other department members to accomplish diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
