UMD invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Digital Arts, beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year. The successful candidate is expected to teach time-based and digital media in foundational and advanced-level courses. Faculty will teach three courses per semester and actively engage in research within their area of expertise. In addition to teaching and research expectations, tenure-track faculty have the opportunity to serve on the committees at both departmental and university levels and advise undergraduate students. The Department of Art & Design offers BFA degrees in two Graphic Design emphases, Art Education, and four Studio Art emphases, as well as BA degrees in Art and Art History. The Department of Art & Design is part of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
