Animal Technician CMP (Cellular Molecular Pha) Part Time 81121BR Job Summary This position exists to provide support to a large group of scientists from diverse fields (biochemistry, structural biology, cell biology, immunology, systems/synthetic biology, neurobiology, dev. biology, engineering, physics, chemistry) who are interested in applying interdisciplinary approaches to cutting edge problems. The laboratory studies diverse cell types (T cells, neurons) to elucidate the general logic that cells use to solve common regulatory problems. The lab's research aims to understand the design rules of cellular networks to apply this knowledge to engineer designer cells that carry out therapeutic functions, such as sensing and destroying cancer. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $22.58 - $27.74 (Hourly Rate). CMP provides administrative and financial services to 15 primary faculty members; 5 adjunct faculty members; 37 non-faculty academics; 36 postdoctoral scholars and 21 graduate students.
