The firm is seeking an Enterprise Applications Engineer to join our technology team. The Enterprise Applications Engineer is responsible for implementing, testing and maintaining the firm's primary software applications. Applications include, but are not limited to, legal document management systems, M365 and legal software add-ins, PDF applications, collaboration platforms as well as specialized applications for legal practice groups and individual users. This hybrid position is based in the firm's New York offices in Hudson Yards.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Install, maintain and provide technical expertise for a legal industry suite of software tools to support the delivery of legal services to clients
  • Serve as primary technical resource for the administration and support of the firm's document management system
  • Perform application integration, configuration and packaging requirements
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for enterprise applications to ensure ease of use and full leverage of the tools
  • Define and maintain firm standards for implementing software
  • Perform QA testing of new application installs and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application problems and configuration enhancement requests
  • Assist with the creation of training materials
  • Seek out, evaluate and propose enhancements, updates and new software solutions
  • Support the transition of legacy on-prem applications to cloud applications
  • Works closely with the Information Security team, prioritizing implementation of secure architecture, security controls and security patches.
  • Ensures all team, departmental and firm policies and procedures are adhered to, including technical change management and service continuity
  • Other duties as needed



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in applications engineering in a law firm or professional services organization
  • 5+ years experience administering iManage or NetDocuments
  • Experience with M365 and legal industry add-ins, Teams and One Drive
  • Experience supporting migrations to, and maintaining, M365, hosted document management systems and other cloud applications
  • Understanding of user identity and application security models
  • Strong knowledge of legal industry application requirements, best practices and industry standards
  • Detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks and heavy workloads efficiently
  • Proactive, self-learner who is motivated & results-oriented with a positive, team-player attitude
  • Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours (9:30am-5:30pm EST) as required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline desirable
