OverviewThe Artificial Intelligence (AI) Frameworks team at Microsoft develops AI software that enables running AI models everywhere, from the world's fastest AI supercomputers, to servers, desktops, mobile phones, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and internet browsers. We collaborate with our hardware teams and hardware partners to build the software stacks for novel AI accelerators. We work closely with Machine Learning (ML) researchers and developers to optimize and scale out model training and inference. We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team! The team operates at the intersection of AI algorithmic innovation, software, systems, and purpose-built AI hardware. We are a cross-discipline team with a collaborative and inclusive culture. We also work with and contribute back to the open-source community. As Software Engineer II on our team, you will have the opportunity to work on the fundamental abstractions, programming models, compilers, runtimes, libraries, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that enable large scale training and inferencing of the world's most advanced AI models.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop AI software in C/C++, Python, and other languages. Apply engineering principles for defining robust and maintainable architectures and designs. Collaborate broadly across multiple disciplines from hardware designers to ML developers. Identify requirements, scope solutions, estimate work, schedule deliverables. Help establish and drive the adoption of outstanding coding standards and patterns and help enhance our inclusive engineering culture. | |
