Description

GAI Consultants is looking for an Assistant Civil Engineering Manager for our Pittsburgh area offices, Warrenton, VA office or Richmond, VA office. Your responsibilities in this position will include assisting business development initiatives, assistant managing projects within the Power Generation industry (primarily renewables), and leading civil engineering activities. The candidate should be driven and be seeking the opportunity to lead and manage.

Job Duties:

o Site Layout/Grading Plans
o Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
o Stormwater Management Plans
o Hydrologic and Hydraulic/Drainage Plans
o Utility Design and Relocation Plans
o Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans
o Geotechnical Investigations
o Permit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.)
o Stream and Wetland Delineations and Associated Permits
o Cultural Resource Investigations and Concurrences
o Rare Threatened and Endangered Species Consultations and Concurrences
o Construction Drawings, Specifications , and Quality Control Plans
o Construction Cost Estimates
o Owner's Engineer Support during construction
o Field Investigations
o Technically lead engineering tasks in area of expertise
o Successfully delivery of scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability
o Plans and manages small to medium value task, with a single or dual discipline focus and a low to medium risk profile
o The candidate should have the desire and ability to travel to Project sites, as needed, primarily in the mid-west and mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
