As part of our growing Regulatory and Risk Management team, you will work with our clients, including some of the most iconic financial institutions globally, as they reshape regulatory and risk management methodologies and process for the future. You will gain in-depth experience across emerging risk topics within a variety of regulatory and risk categories, become a thought leader with a focus on the latest innovations and solutions leveraging cutting edge technology, and enable strategic success through developing proactive metrics and data that provide risk insights.
How you will contribute:
  • Driving strategy and developing appropriate solutions to help our clients achieve their goals based on a deep understanding of the science of risk management
  • Being a thought leader in a risk and regulatory area, or more broadly to drive market presence and enhance team expertise
  • Managing and developing lasting relationships with senior executives of leading organizations while developing client accounts
  • Managing engagements and provide clients with support in understanding and implementing risk management concepts, such as enterprise risk, operational risk, market risk, credit risk, etc.
  • Communicating complexities of the risk management process to stakeholders across the firm and driving the creation of deliverables to achieve understanding at all levels
  • Developing your knowhow and contributing to the firm's knowledge base by staying abreast of industry practices, assessing the impact of news events on company risk management practices
  • Achieving and maintaining high quality in work, client relations, and team relations
  • Supporting any training and mentoring to staff and interns as necessary
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:
  • A passion for relationship building with a service mindset
  • Deep knowledge of Risk Management, either broadly or within a specific risk topic (i.e., Operational Risk, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Third Party Risk) with practical experience developing and implementing related frameworks, underlying key processes, and being a thought leader or Regulatory Compliance, either broadly or within a specific regulation topic (i.e., Prudential, Conduct, Market Integrity...)
  • Proven record building and leading teams, including development of future leaders
  • Ability to vision and develop solutions, including the ability to develop content, be insightful, and understanding of key success factors for go to market
  • Project management and communication experience, and the ability to manage large teams and projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management best practices, regulatory considerations, and financial service routines
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 years or more of experience within a risk or regulatory advisory practice, risk management at financial services organization or consulting firm
  • BA or BS in a related field (Risk Management, Finance, Business, Mathematics etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of the key industry risk management or regulatory compliance technologies and overall marketplace trends
Preferred Qualifications:
One or more of the following:
  • Experience in Recovery and / or Resolution planning (OCC 12 CFR 30, Dodd-Frank 165(d), or FDIC 360.10)
  • Industry experience with a US G-SIB in the following:
    • Capital Planning or CCAR experience
    • Prior experience in Liquidity and Capital management
  • Project management experience
  • Work in FP&A or finance product control
  • Experience in developing drafting business requirements for process design or technology solutions

New York City Pay Transparency
Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
