Responsibilities

A Facilities Specialist performs various repairs, renovations, or remodeling projects to correct building deficiencies and improve customer service efficiency. A Facilities Specialist performs routine and preventative maintenance tasks for plumbing, electrical, lighting, and HVAC systems at all assigned facilities that are bank-owned or leased under minimal supervision.



  • Provide exemplary customer service (internal and external).
  • Perform various repairs/renovations/remodeling to correct building deficiencies and/or-improve customer service efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance tasks for plumbing, electrical, lighting and HVAC systems at all assigned bank-owned or leased facilities.
  • Assist with other general maintenance functions including seasonal maintenance tasks (e.g., snow removal and lawn care.)
  • Assist with testing of emergency generators, when applicable.
  • Complete facilities inspection report to assist in the assessment of deficiencies and plans for corrective action.
  • May be required to lift 50 pounds as well as perform laborer functions such as climbing and shoveling.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion.
  • May have to work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions. The work environment is likely to be noisy.
  • The Facilities Specialist may be responsible for lifting and moving heavy objects of up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be familiar with numerous tools and use the safety features appropriate for that tool.
  • There could be significant travel (2 hours or more) involved in getting to the job site.
  • As an integral member of the Facilities Department, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Department and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.



Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Two-year college degree in a related field and/or specialized training in a related trade preferred.
  • General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, masonry, painting, electrical and carpentry.
  • Ability to use necessary tools and equipment for each above.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Must have the flexibility to travel and adjust daily work schedules as needed.
  • Minimum 1 year in facilities maintenance or construction preferred but not required, including the ability to perform routine repairs to heating, air conditioning, lighting, and electrical and plumbing systems. Experience with multiple facilities preferred.
  • Will also consider experience as a Handyman, Repairman, Repair Technician, or similar.
