Responsibilities
  • Evaluates and treats speech therapy patients under physician orders in the acute, outpatient, home health care or skilled nursing facilities as assigned
  • Develops treatment plans for all patients assigned to case load
  • Maintains appropriate documentation in the patient's medical record
  • Ongoing commitment to reducing costs and improving productivity in the speech therapy department
  • Maintains positive relationships with the health care team, patient and family
  • Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with all appropriate members of the patient's healthcare team

Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Certified Clinical Competency Certification or completing Clinical Fellowship year.

Licensure: Speech Pathology licensure in Iowa or eligible for licensure in Iowa, Valid Iowa driver's license

Experience: Entry level/new graduate acceptable

Certification/Course: Maintain Basic Life Support certification
