The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

The Controller for U.S. Chemical Storage will be located and Wilkesboro, NC and is a key role within the Engineered Solutions (ES) segment as they will be responsible for accurate financial reporting. A key aspect of the role will be to develop strong relationships with other functional department leaders and General Managers within these businesses to provide stewardship of company assets and help make sound financial decisions. This role should be seen as the "go-to" resource for the business when it comes to financial advice. A successful candidate in this role will be able to roll up their sleeves while managing an AP/AR Specialist and develop opportunities to leverage additional resources.

The role will be heavily focused on ensuring the accurate processing of transactions, financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting and interfacing with key operation leaders within the plant and HR personnel. The role will be heavily involved in FP&A and partnering to develop key initiatives to help improve the operations.

This matrixed position will report to the Chemical & Environmental Safety Group Controller but will have a strong dotted line to the General Manager, setting the stage for your career to soar! What You'll Do at Justrite:

The Controller is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, developing and monitoring internal control systems and helping develop business strategies and metrics ties to those strategies by the following duties:



  • Direct and oversee budgeting, forecasting and audit & tax accounting activities.
  • As a member of the leadership team, establish and maintain strong relationships with other, non-financial senior executives to identify company needs and seek full-range business solutions.
  • Ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to US GAAP or IFRS to accurately reflect the performance of the businesses.
  • Establish and provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and opportunities.
  • Develop and monitor business performance metrics, including weekly progress reports, profitability statements, cashflow statements and cost analysis.
  • Provide other BU reports to the General Managers that are critical for running the business such as COGS Reports, Plant Payroll Recap and the Weekly Progress reports.
  • Manage and execute daily operations of accounting department.
  • Manage the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
  • Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state/provincial and federal regulatory agencies
  • Understand all accounting functions and procedures with the aim towards developing reliable and efficient processing of financial information.
  • Understand and monitor cost accounting variances and identify suggestions to improve unfavorable variances for price, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Ensure proper inventory tracking and collection of labor/shop floor activity, including physical inventories.
  • Assist sales team on a daily basis with request for information such as certificate of insurance for new orders and Credit Worthiness reports on new customers as needed.
  • Establish commission statements monthly and review with each Sales team member prior to payout for their approval.
  • Oversee invoicing, collections for deposits on new orders and progress payments on outstanding balances in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work with inside and outside resources for lien filing on delinquent accounts.


Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:



  • 10+ years of progressive financial management experience.
  • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Experience in all aspects of financial management including accounting, budgeting, planning, internal controls and analysis.
  • Cost accounting and bill of materials/routing skills developed in manufacturing environments.
  • Manufacturing experience with Lean Enterprise Systems, Six Sigma and/or Supply Management is highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel is required.
  • Global Shop System knowledge desirable but not a requirement

  • Strong initiative and drive, including a willingness to collaborate on projects and in areas beyond Accounting and Finance.


Compensation:

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 to $160,000.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
