Description

  • Evaluate and improve on resin, filming and prepreg manufacturing techniques by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication and materials, conferring with process engineering and soliciting observations from operators.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and implement corrective measures.
  • Develop robust set of process KPIs and monitor them regularly
  • Create procedures and provide training and coaching to manufacturing operators
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools or equipment
  • Plan and execute equipment, process and /or equipment qualifications
  • Own PFMEA for process and implement countermeasures for top RPN failure modes
  • Plan and direct maintenance and facility engineers for improvement of equipment. Assist in directing equipment repairs and upgrades.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement of resin, filming and prepreg processes.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
  • Promotes good housekeeping standards and initiates corrective action of hazardous and unsafe conditions in the plant.
  • Special assignments and projects assigned by the Plant Manager.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering (required)
Bachelors of Chemical Engineering (required)
High School (required)
Experience
Prior experience as a supervisor (preferred)
3 years: Aerospace (in management with production and quality control - composites, prepreg manufacturing preferred) (required)
