Associate Test Engineer

Job Summary:

Demonstrates a fundamental knowledge of vehicle measurements and data acquisition in support of product and systems engineering testing and quality initiatives within Product Development Engineering.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Uses existing test procedures and practices to solve standard problems, analyzes information, achieves objectives, meets deadlines and makes judgments with guidance and direction from more senior level roles in the execution of meaningful technical tests on motorcycles and their components in laboratory or proving ground.
  • Compiles, analyzes and reports test results to engineering in a timely manner with guidance and direction from more senior level roles.
  • Executes tests, improves processes and reduces product development time through the exchange of information, asking questions and checking for understanding and reports progress to engineering.
  • Provides high quality test data through detailed understanding of transducer designs, calibration, limitations, and their appropriate usage.
  • Independently and successfully applies instrumentation tools and techniques during project execution. Has made laboratory measurements of current, voltage, and complex waveforms.
  • Fundamental knowledge and application of statistical analysis in daily work and participates in root cause analysis (e.g. Cause Map, Fishbone, etc.).


Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree Required

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related technical Degree or PE license.

Experience Requirements:

Required:

  • Typically requires no previous professional experience.
  • Willingness and skills to work effectively within a group and / or team of engineers, technical specialists, mechanics and riders.
