Electrical Test Engineer

The role would be located in the metro Milwaukee area (specifically in Wauwatosa, WI). You'd be joining one of the worlds most renowned and respected motorcycle manufacturers at their Product Development Center. This opportunity would initially be on a 12 month contract basis, and has the ability to go as long as 3 years in-total. There is also an opportunity to become a Direct Employee of our client, at any point in the contract.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical system architecture, ensuring that all components of the system meet or exceed their function within the architecture
  • Evaluate and report performance of electrical system, as well as individual components subjectively and objectively
  • Resolve technical issues for performance and integration between system components and client
  • Manage development and risk through DFMEA and DVP&R, including review and approval of supplier PPAP and controls plans
  • Develop and maintain program-specific requirements documentation both within client and between client and supplier
  • Verify system performance to company standards, approve supplier validation, and work with test and verification entities to ensure system meets or exceeds targets


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required
  • Three or more years of experience creating and developing test plans for electrical components
  • Prior Project Management Experience is Required
  • Experience collaborating with 3rd Party Testing Labs
  • Prior experience authoring requirements and test plan campaigns for electronic sensor systems
  • Proven history meeting EMC and environmental requirements for vehicle systems
  • Experience with industry-standard signal interface protocols (both physical layer and data-link layer)
  • Ability to manage translation from vehicle-level requirements to component-level test results
