Description
This position is responsible for (This is not a complete job description):
- planning, managing, monitoring, and evaluating the work flow to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are achieved
- ensuring production requirements are achieved by adhering to assigned schedules
- developing and implementing plans for efficient labor utilization and staffing needs
- evaluating and troubleshooting systems and processes that impact production efficiencies
- monitoring and addressing equipment repairs, maintenance repairs, and safety concerns
- partnering with maintenance and engineering to optimize equipment performance and reliability
- creating and promoting an environment that encourages exceptional customer service
- providing leadership in developing the workforce to include recruiting, selecting, and developing hourly employees
- mentoring and empowering employees through delegation and coaching
- supporting and administering company policies and procedures consistently
- ensuring good housekeeping in all areas of the facility including manufacturing, distribution, and common areas
- meeting or exceeding all performance and productivity standards
- promoting a safe and healthy work environment on all company property to achieve the best working conditions for all employees and visitors
- ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures
- performing other assignments as requested or as business needs require
This position requires:
- 2 years of manufacturing experience in fast-paced, lean manufacturing environments
- experience managing high volume production processes
- knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and JD Edwards
- demonstrated compliance of OSHA standards in a manufacturing environment
- working 40+ hours per week
- the ability to manage multiple task and provide expected results
- maintaining regular and predictable attendance
- communicating effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
- working cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors
- following verbal and written instructions
- successfully completing drug and background screenings
