Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Civil/infrastructure design and site layout;
  • Site investigation and characterization using geotechnical and environmental field and laboratory data;
  • Geotechnical design and analyses (e.g. slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, earth retaining structures, seepage, etc.);
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis and modeling;
  • Erosion and sediment control design and NPDES compliance;
  • Construction oversight and engineering support; and
  • Preparation of technical drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and analyses for: civil design; site development and grading; water resources engineering/stormwater management; erosion and sediment controls; and landfill engineering.
  • Fieldwork and overnight travel will also be necessary, as needed.


Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in water resources or geotechnical engineering. (preferred)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience and/or experience with a civil contractor or consulting firm. (preferred)
  • Experience in relevant engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, Slide, Settle3D HydroCAD, SWMM, ArcGIS, TR-55 etc.). (preferred)
  • Experience performing civil design and site grading. (preferred)
  • Experience performing hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and designing stormwater infrastructure. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
