View all jobs Electrical Construction Designer Milwaukee, Wisconsin * Architecture/Engineering Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and metal modular equipment centers for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. As a result of our expansion, we are looking for an Electrical Construction Designer to support both our Generator and our Modular Equipment Center Electrical Engineering groups. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform conduit, cable tray, and wireway fill calculations. Complete accurate drawings showing raceway and equipment layouts to be used in Production. Create list of materials to be prefabricated for projects. Create labels, panel schedules, and other documentation needed for construction. Work with Production as needed on questions pertaining to design. QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with other Engineers, Production, Quality Control, etc. High School Diploma or GED. Valid Driver's License with ability to occasionally travel between our 4 Milwaukee area facilities. 2 plus years hands on experience with installation of conduit, wire, and related electrical equipment. Auto CAD or similar design software experience preferred.
