Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Building on long-standing and successful work in the field over more than 5 decades, the Havey Institute for Global Health (IGH) and the Department of Preventive Medicine (DPM) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seek a tenure-track eligible/tenured Investigator at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Responsibilities include serving as the Director of the IGH Center for Global Cardiovascular Health, which involves growing and supporting faculty interest in this area, and establishing a research portfolio in global cardiovascular health that will complement the existing goals of DPM and IGH while providing important further expansion in research in global cardiovascular issues. Additionally, the candidate is expected to maintain a strong publication record, collaborate and support global research and training projects, mentor trainees, obtain independent external funding, and participate in intra- and inter-programmatic global cardiovascular research activities at Northwestern University. The successful candidate will work with cross-institutional partners, further strengthening collaborations with other departments and schools within the university and with partners in in Low- and Middle-Countries (LMICs). Qualified candidates will hold a doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH and/or MD). Strong candidates will have demonstrable expertise and original research in global cardiovascular health in LMICs, as demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals and collaborative experience with clinical or laboratory-based scientists, and active funding including NIH-funded projects.
