Job Description

Campus Dining Services needs temporary food service workers.

Schedule

Work is expected to start ASAP and last through October. End date is subject to change. This can be either a part-time or full-time position.

Work locations & shifts

Starbucks at Memorial Union: Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. OR 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Possible Saturday shift 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Work now through November 22nd with the option of transferring to regular employment.

Restaurants at Southwest (RSW): Sunday to Thursday OR Tuesday to Saturday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. OR full-time.

Student Center Dining: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. OR 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Salary

Pay is $14.00 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

  • NOT be a current University of Missouri student
  • Able to lift and stand entire shift
  • A stable work history
  • An excellent attendance record
  • Verifiable references
  • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired (education or training beyond high school may be substituted for experience)

Dress Code

Campus Dining Services will provide a shirt, hat, apron, and hair net. The employee is responsible for black pants and closed-toe, non-skid shoes.

Duties

  • Serve (plate) food
  • Prep food (make sandwiches, make pizzas, stock the salad bar)
  • Restock cutlery/napkins, condiments, etc.
  • Wipe down tables
  • Wash dishes

All SOSTS assignments, including temp-to-hire opportunities, are temporary and without any guarantee of work or regular employment. An assignment may end without notice.
